Di Marzio: AC Milan working on two more signings after Chukwueze

Gianluca Di Marzio

AC Milan have just closed the signings of Okafor and Chukwueze but that will not be the end of the mercato moves for the Rossoneri.

Yesterday was a very busy day for the Rossoneri. AC Milan initially secured the services of Red Bull Salzburg striker Noah Okafor for a fee of €14 million while later closed the purchase of Villareal right winger Samuel Chukwueze for a total fee of €28 million. With the signing of Okafor and Chukwueze AC Milan have completed their attack for next season.

AC Milan hope to finally have landed a right winger that can provide plenty of goals and assists from that flank. While Rafael Leao has been flamboyant on the left winger the situation has been less productive on the left with Messias and Saelemaekers. Instead, Chukwueze ended last season in double digits in both terms of goals and assists.

However, AC Milan’s shopping campaign will not stop with Okafor and Chukwueze. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Rossoneri are working on two more signings. Next in line for Furlani and Moncada is to find a resolution for Yunus Musah who is set to completed Milan’s midfield department.

AC Milan want to close the transfer of Yunus Musah for around €20 million while so far Valencia have stood firm on their €25 million asking price. The 20-year-old midfielder has already agreed personal terms with the Italian club. All parties are confident that a qucik resolution will take place.

Next on Furlani’s to-do list is the signing of a new left back that due to UEFA squad list restrictions must be an Italian player. AC Milan have turned their attention to former Roma talent Riccardo Calafiori. Calafiori moved to Basel last summer where he had the chance to pay continuously regular football.

Basel paid only 1 million to Roma one year ago and are reportedly open to discuss the transfer of Calafiori to AC Milan if an offer of over €5 million arrives. The 21-year-old is willing to return to Italy again. Milan need a young left back that can learn and cover in the absence of Theo Hernandez.
