AC Milan vs Roma, probable lineups

AC Milan face Roma in the 28th round of Serie A. A crucial match for the European hopes of both clubs.

After the fine performance against Lecce, AC Milan vs Roma will be the Rossoneri’s second match since the league resumed. A very important encounter for both clubs who are battling for a place in European competitions.

Nine points separate the two clubs in the standings but, with 11 games remaining until the end of the season, everything is open. Coach Stefano Pioli declared in today’s press conference that the squad is well aware of the importance of this match but the boys are ready and in great form.

The good news for Milan vs Roma is that Simon Kjaer has fully recovered and the Danish defender will be alongside Alessio Romagnoli at the heart of the defence. Theo Hernandez will play on the left with Pioli once again preferring Andrea Conti over Calabria on the opposite flank.

No changes in midfielder. The central duo will be composed of Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie. The three players in front of them will not change either. Castillejo, Bonaventura, Calhanoglu will be in support of Ante Rebic.

After the fiasco against Juventus, the Croatian striker did well with Lecce as false nine allowing the three players behind him to attack more. Pioli also said the Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to recovering but the Swedish striker is not part of the team for Milan vs Roma. The first match between the two teams ended 2-1 in favor of Roma.
