AC Milan need to sell several players this summer but so far the Rossoneri have been unsuccessful in their attempts to offload four players.
AC Milan are certainly the most active Italian club on the market for signings. The Rossoneri have purchased a number of players but on the departures front things have been quite difficult for Maldini and Massara. So far, AC Milan have sold only Diego Laxalt who joined Dynamo Moscow for 3.5 million.
Among the names expected to leave this summer there is last season’s arrival Jens Peter Hauge. The 21-year-old is someone that can guarantee a healthy capital gain for AC Milan but so far the right offer hasn’t arrive. After spending €5 million last season, Milan are determined to get 15 million and have refused lower offers. Hauge’s disappointing performances against Pro Sesto and Modena seem to exclude any chances of him staying at Milan.
Samuel Castillejo is on the market too. The Spanish right winger has been unable to replace Suso and he has played the role of Saelemaekers’ back-up. Four Spanish clubs are reportedly interested in Castillejo but so far no official offers have arrived. Castillejo’s price tag is 8 million.
The next two players Paolo Maldini is trying to offload are Mattia Caldara and Andrea Conti. Conti returned after his unsuccessful loan at Parma. AC Milan spent 24 million to sign Conti from Atalanta and so far have received only a loan offer from Venezia. Sampdoria and Genoa are interested but have yet to make a move.
Similar situation for Caldara who returned home after an 18-month loan at Atalanta. He could leave again on loan this summer. However, if no pleasing offers arrive, Mattia Caldara may remain as the fourth choice for the center of the defence.
