AC Milan issue ultimatum to Giampaolo
It’s time for AC Milan coach Marco Giampaolo to give space to new signings and make them essential part of the staring eleven.
MILAN NEWS – AC Milan have delivered a loud and clear message to Marco Giampaolo. From now on, the new AC Milan coach must rely much more on new signings.
The club has already expressed its guideline: the summer purchases are all ready and precisely them should be the backbone of the new Milan that will try to reach fourth place this season reports Tuttosport. Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban, in particular, expect a central role for Theo Hernandez, who is expected to fully recover after the international break, Ismael Bennacer and Rafael Leao.
Three players on which the management counts a lot and to whom the coach must dedicate extra work to make them ready as soon as possible. Giampaolo will have to go a little against what his convictions were until the pre-Brescia press conference, where he said he still needed time to insert new faces in the starting eleven.
In fact, among the players who joined AC Milan this summer, only Bennacer has enjoyed the taste of first minute football last Saturday against Brescia. Leao instead played the last 20 minutes against Udinese, Hernandez is injured, while Duarte and Krunic are not considered as first team material.
Ante Rebic too, the last summer signing of AC Milan, must also be enhanced. The objective is therefore threefold: shifting gears after the first 180 minutes in the league, hitting the target missed last year and enhancing the 83 million investment made for six players, compared to only 24.5 recovered from the sale of Patrick Cutrone and Tiago Djalo.
