Fiorentina’s midfielder Jordan Veretout is practically an AC Milan player with the two clubs having agreed a transfer fee.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Krunic and Bennacer are not enough. The Rossoneri need other signings to complete the midfield, a department that needs quality and certainty. That’s why AC Milan continue to focus on Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout.
According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have made one last push for the 26-year-old French midfielder and the parties are very close to reaching an agreement. The player meanwhile has left the team gathering and is preparing to join Giampaolo’s side.
Initially AC Milan offered 13 million euro cash plus Lucas Biglia for Veretout. That offer was rejected by Fiorentina who remained firm in their request of €25 million but no club is willing to match their demands.
AC Milan agreed to raise their bid and have offered 18 million euros plus 2 million in bonuses for Veretout. A satisfying figure for Fiorentina who don’t want the negotiations to drag for long. The Viola however are having one last meeting with Roma before accepting AC Milan’s bid but the desire of the player to join only Milan has proven decisive.
Jordan Veretout to AC Milan in a cash-only deal doesn’t exclude the transfer of Lucas Biglia to Fiorentina. The two clubs have agreed to resume negotiations for the Argentine midfielder who is wanted by coach Montella.
