Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be the man in charge of AC Milan’s transfer campaign this summer and he will count on some fresh funds from player exits.
Only a few weeks remain until the end of another football season leading up to EURO 2024. The Rossoneri look in a comfortable position to play Champions League football next season which will bring in additional funds to spend for the summer transfer window. This time it will be Zlatan Ibrahimovic to take care of the mercato campaign which as always will be financed partially from player exits.
AC Milan expect to collect €50 million from the sale of five players. More players could end up leaving but for these five it’s sure to say they have already played their last match with the Red and Blacks starting from Daniel Maldini. The Italian midfielder is oriented to continue his Serie A career at Monza. Monza plan to exercise their €5 million buy option with AC Milan retaining a buy-back clause. The young Maldini has scored 3 goals and provided one assist in just 149 minutes on the pitch with Monza.
The following two exits are guaranteed. AC Milan will get €2.5 million from the permanent transfer of Junior Messias to Genoa. Buy conditions have already been met for the Brazilian right winger but officially everything will take place at the end of the season. Same for Rade Krunic. The Bosnia international will become a Fenerbahce player for a fee of ‘just’ €4 million. Krunic joined Fenerbahce on an initial loan move with obligation to buy.
Alexis Saelemaekers is another right winger that has already played his last match with AC Milan. Bologna have a €12 million buy option on Saelemaekers and considering their unprecedented run this season it’s highly likely that the move will become permanent. Bologna are fighting for a Champions League spot and Thiago Motta’s team have earned praise for their beautiful football.
The adventure of Charles De Ketelaere at AC Milan looks to end after only one season. Atalanta signed the Belgian attacking midfielder on loan but look convinced to make his transfer permanent for a fee of €22 million plus 4 million in bonuses. De Ketelaere ended his sole season with Milan with only one assists while at Atalanta he has scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists. Numbers that have convinced the Bergamo club to sign him permanently.
