AC Milan to make 3 changes against Juventus
Coach Stefano Pioli has only one doubt for AC Milan’s upcoming Serie A match against Juventus.
After two consecutive defeats, AC Milan returned to the winning ways against Pippo Inzaghi’s Benevento. On Sunday, at the Allianz Stadium in Torino, the Rossoneri will face Juventus in what will surely be a decisive match for the Champions League hopes of both clubs.
The four remaining rounds of Serie A will decide which will be the three other clubs, besides Inter, to play in Champions next season. The Rossoneri have never won in the “new” Juventus stadium and next weekend they have the right opportunity to break this taboo. Obviously it will not be easy, given that Andrea Pirlo’s squad is also in great need of three points.
AC Milan are back in training at Milanello with Stefano Pioli studying the formation choices to make. Some are fairly obvious, while others still have to be decided. The only absentee will be Samuel Castillejo, suspended after receiving a yellow card against Benevento.
On Sunday, against Juventus, Davide Calabria will surely return to the right, with Diogo Dalot going back to the bench. Ante Rebic too will return in the starting eleven after Rafael Leao took his place with Benevento. This time the Croatian winger is in advantage over the former Sporting Lisbon and Lille starlet.
These two changes compared to the line-up used with Benevento are certain. The only doubt concerns the central duo in defence. Simon Kjaer, who was rested in the last match, will surely start from the first minute. The other spot is disputed by Alessio Romagnoli and Fikayo Tomori. The Rossoneri captain could be confirmed alongside Kjaer for Juventus vs Milan.
No changes are expected in midfield or attack. The names that started against Benevento should play also against Juventus. It must be noticed that five AC Milan players risk suspension if they get a yellow card against Juve: Theo Hernandez, Dalot, Calhanoglu, Saelemaekers and Rebic.
