AC Milan to fund attacking midfielder signing with 3 sales
AC Milan will finance the signing of the new attacking midfielder from the sale of three outcast players.
Few weeks remain until the end of the summer transfer window but AC Milan have yet to decide who will be their new attacking midfielder. Several important names have been linked with the Rossoneri like Isco, James Rodriguez, Coutinho, Sabitzer, Ziyech, Ilicic and Vlasic but there doesn’t seem to be a frontrunner.
Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have recently been busy making some sales. That’s because the Rossoneri also need to make an important investment on the right wing so a couple of sales are required to fund a move for the new attacking midfielder due to the limited budget.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan will soon have a “treasure” to spend. Jens Petter Hauge is about to join Eintracht Frankfurt for a transfer fee of 12 million euros. The Norwegian winger arrived last summer from Bodo Glimt for €5 million but was unable to find space in Pioli’s eleven, especially in the second half of the season.
Another 15 million euros are expected to arrive from the sale of Samuel Castillejo and Andrea Conti. The Spanish winger is expected to return in Spain with several clubs interested in his services. However, so far, Milan have not received an official bid.
The departure of Andrea Conti is just a matter of time. The Italian right back becomes a free agent in one year so the Rossoneri need to act quickly to avoid losing him for nothing next season. Conti is very close to joining Sampdoria.
