With Donnarumma brothers leaving this summer AC Milan must choose a new third goalkeeper for next season.
Many movements at AC Milan regarding the goalkeeping department. Both Donnarumma brothers will leave the Rossoneri club at the end of the month and for this reason AC Milan are moving to fix the goalkeeper’s situation for next season.
With Gianluigi Donnarumma leaving, it will be Mike Maignan to take his place. The former Lille star will be AC Milan’s number one from next season. Ciprian Tatarusanu will remain as the second in the hierarchy.
The unknown factor seemed to be the one concerning the third goalkeeper. In recent days there was talk of the possibility of promotion of Primavera goalkeeper, Andreas Jungdal, in the first team. In the end, however, it will not be the 19-year-old to serve as third goalkeeper in Pioli’s squad.
According to Sportmediaset, AC Milan have chosen Alessandro Plizzari to be the third goalkeeper for next season. Plizzari will return from his loan at Reggiana and will take Antonio Donnarumma’s spot.
The last adventure of Alessandro Plizzari was not a positive one. The 21-year-old Italian goalkeeper conceded 16 goals in 10 appearances and eventually lost his starting status for the Serie B side. AC Milan are ready to welcome him back and give him a chance. Plizzari will likely play in the Coppa Italian games throughout the season.
