TMW: AC Milan have officially opened striker talks

AC Milan will sign a new centre forward this summer. The Rossoneri are carefully evaluating the option of Alvaro Morata.

AC Milan continue to look for a centre forward and Alvaro Morata is on their sights. The Atletico Madrid center forward, an old acquaintance of Serie A, where he played and won trophies with the Juventus shirt, is high on Furlani and Moncada’s list of transfer targets for the attack.

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that AC Milan have officially contacted Atletico Madrid to understand their intentions and if a deal will be possible this summer. Alvaro Morata is rumored to have a release clause of around €15 million but this figure has not been confirmed if it is correct by the interested parties.

Obviously, Morata represents a very economical option for AC Milan. The Rossoneri could end up signing an experienced striker, already familiar with Serie A, that has been playing at the top level throughout his career. Although not a formidable goal scorer, Morata has always reached double figures on every season since 2014. He is also considered a complimentary player to Olivier Giroud.

The Rossoneri believe that the quality-price ratio in this case is in their favor. The player is pushing to return in Italy and has already offered his services to the Rossoneri. Personal terms are not an issue. Alvaro Morata is reportedly open to accept a three-year contract of around €5 million per season.

At last until now, the name of Morata convinced the AC Milan management and coach Stefano Pioli more than Gianluca Scamacca. The Italian striker flopped in his first year. In addition, West Ham are not willing to loan Scamacca. The Premier League club want to offload the Italian striker and have put a €30 million for interest clubs.
