AC Milan striker suffers injury before Roma match
The injuries situation at AC Milan remains problematic. Pietro Pellegri is out for tonight’s match against Roma.
AC Milan travel to the Italian capital to face Roma tonight. The Rossoneri aim to keep the winning pace of recent matches while Jose Maurinho’s squad fights to secure a spot in the top four.
Coach Stefano Pioli will deploy his best possible elven tonight with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to lead the attack. Olivier Giroud will wait for his chance in the second half while Pietro Pellegri has been left out of the match squad.
MilanNews.it reports that the young Rossoneri striker has suffered an injury in yesterday’s training session. Pietro Pellegri has a blunt trauma on his right ankle.
A very bad news for the former Monaco centre forward. Again, Pellegri is battling with a high number of injuries that have prevented him from giving a contribution this season. In fact, Pellegri has played only three games so far for a total of 60 minutes.
This problematic situation has forced the AC Milan management to consider the signing of a new striker in January. Besides Pellegri, even Giroud and Ibrahimovic have had their share of troubles forcing Pioli to move Ante Rebic in the centre forward role.
