AC Milan have completed the signing of Yacine Adli for a fee of 10 million euros. The midfielder will stay at Bordeaux on loan for the rest of the season.

For many weeks AC Milan have been linked with Yacine Adli, one of the most promising midfielders of Ligue 1. Today, the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Bordeaux and Yacine Adli will join AC Milan for a transfer fee of 10 million euros.

However, some conditions have changed compared to the previous information on the negotiation. Bordeaux have indeed accepted to lower their asking price to €10 million but Adli will spend the remaining of the season with Bordeaux on loan. The player has agreed a five-year contract of 1.5 million per season.

The 21-year-old versatile midfielder will move to Italy in the summer of 2022. AC Milan have chosen this type of agreement with the French club also because of their current situation in midfield. Pioli’s squad looks pretty full in the in that department especially after the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan from Chelsea.

Furthermore, Adli will have the chance to keep playing regular football in Ligue 1 for one more year. Last season, the former Paris Saint-Germain talent made 35 appearances in the league, scoring 2 goals and providing 5 assists.

The signing of Yacine Adli is an operation largely in the style of Elliott Management. The American owners of AC Milan prioritize long-term planning and the purchase of young players with great potential. The mercato is not over yet for the Rossoneri with Maldini and Massara still working to improve the squad.
