Massimiliano Mirabelli

Mirabelli and his scouts are very active on the market especially for young promising players. Now AC Milan have closed a deal for the transfer of young goalkeeper Lillo Guarneri.

According to reports by La Repubblica, the Rossoneri have practically signed youngster Lillo Georges Rosolino Guarneri. He is a 15-year-old goalkeeper who plays for Standard Liege and is already considered a baby phenomenon in Belgium. For his signature AC Milan beat the strong competition of Monaco, Juventus and Inter. Negotiations lasted for a few weeks ago after extensive talks with agent Martina, same agent of Gianluigi Buffon.

Guarneri will sign a long contract with AC Milan, who aim to make him take a similar path to that of Gianluigi Donnarumma. Obviously the 15-year-old Italian-Belgian is still immature and next season he will play for one of the youth sector teams to continue his gradual growth. Meanwhile, Italy has snatched him from Belgium, given that Lillo was called by Danele Zoratto’s Under 16 team. La Repubblica unveils that the Nike brand has already wanted to sponsor him, despite Guarneri’s very young age.

The details of the agreement will be defined before the weekend. This is an important operation for AC Milan that with the arrival of Massimiliano Mirabelli as sports director have revolutionized the scouting area in order to secure the best Italian, European and international talents before they become too famous and reach an inaccessible price.
