AC Milan have completed the purchase of Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal. The winger will arrive in Italy at the beginning of next week.

After more than one month of negotiations AC Milan and Villarreal have reached an agreement for the transfer of Samuel Chukwueze to the Italian club. The last details have been agreed in the last hours and the 24-year-old right winger will soon arrive in Italy to undergo medical tests and put pen to paper on a five year agreement.

According to initial reports, Chukwueze will earn €3 million per season plus bonuses. AC Milan will pay a total fee of €28 million to Villarreal for the talented right winger (20 million fixed fee plus 8 in add-ons). A key role in this signing has played Stefano Pioli who push a lot with the management to have Samuel before the USA tournament at his orders.

AC Milan are confident that Samuel Chukwueze could provide goals and assists that have missed greatly in the last few years from the right winger. Saelemaekers and Messias haven’t been able to give a significant contribution in this regard while Chukwueze have reached double figures in both goals and assists (13 goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances) last season.

Blessed with explosive pace, a wicked left foot and uncommon trickery, Chukwueze has got the raw materials of a modern-day winger. His pace and acceleration allow him to get past opposition defences in a swift manner similar to bikes on an expressway. On his day, he could be as slippery as butter, sitting defenders down as he cuts in to shoot on his stronger left foot. A Rafael Leao of the right wing.

Today has been a very busy day for the Rossoneri have who simultaneously closed the signing of Samuel Chukwueze and Noah Okafor. With the purchases of both Chukwueze and Okafor, AC Milan have have completed their attack. Now it’s time for the Rossoneri to sell Rebic, Origi, Messias and perhaps even Saelemaekers.
