Nearly half of AC Milan’s Primavera players have left this summer in an attempt to gain more experience and minutes elsewhere. Tiago Dias is the latest to depart.
After only one year at AC Milan Primavera Tiago Dias has returned to his homeland Portugal. The 20 year old right winger is leaving the Rossoneri to join Sporting Braga on loan, with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for an undisclosed fee.
The Red and Blacks signed Tiago Dias from Benfica last summer on a free transfer but the Portuguese club is entitled to 30% of the amount earned by any future resale of Dias.
Last season the former Benfica made 25 appearances in Primavera 1 league scoring 5 goals and assisting once. He was the biggest name of the youth squad initially coach by Gattuso but he failed to earn a promotion to the first team. Technical director Leonardo was very busy in the last days of August to find new accommodation for many form Primavera youngsters.
In addition to Dias, three other players have left AC Milan in the last days of the summer transfer window. Ismet Sinani has joined Juve Stabia on loan, Juan Mauri (Jose Mauri’s brother) transfer to Lucchese while Nigeria international Nnamdi Oduamadi signs for Albanian club KF Tirana.
