AC Milan scout German starlet who dreams of Barcelona

Waldemar Anton

AC Milan are reportedly interested in the services of Hannover defender Waldemar Anton and sent scouts to watch him in action with Germany Under 21.

The 21 year old centre back is considered one of the best talents in Bundesliga. Hannover is his home: he has progressed in the youth ranks and now he is a regular starter of the first team. Clubs throughout Europe are watching him closely, including AC Milan. The Rossoneri scouts, these days are scattered across the continent and yesterday observed him in Germany Under 21 against Israel played in Braunschweig.

Anton is born in Uzbekistan and moved to Germany when he was just 2 years old with his parents. He started playing football as a striker to emulate his idol’s Roy Makaay. Then he transitioned to midfield and finally to defense, in the central role. His dream, as Calciomercato.com reports, is to play with the shirt of Barcelona and become a regular starter for the first German national team (he has refused Uzbekistan).

At the moment the player is not thinking about the market. His only thought is to secure salvation with Hannover. The young defender is one of the most promising young defenders in the Bundesliga and the Rossoneri are tabs on him. Anton has played 25 games for Hannover this season and has even scored once. The red and black consider him as a signing for the future and a perfect replacement for Musacchio who is expected to depart this summer.
