AC Milan risk destroying all the good work at the end

AC Milan have made a big number of signings so far but they risk destroying the good work done at the very end with inadequate players.

The summer transfer window will end in just a few days. The Rossoneri have completed a big number of signings purchasing important players like Tomori, Maignan, Tonali or Giroud. Nevertheless, all the good work done so far on the mercato by Maldini and Massara risks getting destroyed at the very end.

With Bakayoko and Adli likely to join in the coming days, Pioli still has two void positions in his squad. Despite the many names linked for a long time, the Rossoneri haven’t signed yet a new right winger or a new attacking midfielder. What is being reported in the last days is even more dramatic.

After 8 years out of the Champions League, AC Milan closed last season in second place. However, with no quality signings in the two above-mentioned positions, a very difficult season could be ahead. After being linked for a long time with prestigious players like Isco, Sabitzer, James Rodriguez, Coutinho and Berardi, AC Milan are now in talks with Jesus Corona, Romain Faivre and Junior Messias.

Three good players but not what AC Milan need to face against Europe’s biggest clubs. It’s very difficult to imagine that Corona, Faivre or Junior Messias, are the right players to face and overcome PSG, Real Madrid or Manchester City.

Elliott Management has invested nearly 60 million euro on the mercato so far with almost no revenue from sales. The American owners are reluctant to spend more just when the icing on the cake is missing. Unlike Roma, Juventus and Inter, AC Milan haven’t made a marque signing that would elevate further the overall quality of the squad.
