AC Milan considering sensational return
With so many obstacles in their attempt to sign Federico Chiesa, the return of Stephan El Shaarawy could be the best solution for AC Milan.
Before the end of the summer transfer window AC Milan will try to bring in a new winger. Chiesa is the desired name but Fiorentina’s hefty asking price has complicated talks. In recent days, news has been circulating of a possible and surprising return of Stephan El Shaarawy. The striker just a year ago flew to China, accepting a very lucrative offer from Shanghai Shenhua.
It is very likely that the next destination of El Shaarawy will be Serie A. Roma, Juventus and PSG are interested in his services with AC Milan being the latest club to join the race for his services.
According to Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan and Arsenal have recently made concrete steps to bring Stephan El Shaarawy back to Europe. For the Rossoneri it would be a sensational return, after his farewell in 2015.
However, El Shaarawy would be available only for half a season, until January 2021. Shanghai Shenhua have approved his request to leave on loan but only for the next few months, until the Chinese championship restarts.
Signing El Shaarawy would be a great advantage for the attack but, still, just a temporary solution. In January it would be up to Paolo Maldini to find another replacement. After four years at San Siro, AC Milan sold the pharaoh to Roma in 2016 for nearly 15 million euros.
