AC Milan pushing for 2 free agent forwards after Kamada deal

Maldini Pioli

After reaching an agreeing for Kamada, AC Milan are interested in two forwards who will be available this season as free agents.

AC Milan have practically completed the signing of Daichi Kamada. As already revealed by acmilaninfo.com, Kamada has accepted AC Milan’s contract proposal of €3 million per season refusing the approach of Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Napoli. Thus the Rossoneri secure a midfielder that has scored 40 goals and provided 32 assists in the last four years with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Kamada has also played a crucial role in Frankfurt’s Europa League victory last season and reaching the DFB Pokal final last season. At the same time, he has international experience making 4 appearances in the last World Cup where Japan shockingly knocked out Germany.

Even better is the fact that AC Milan have secured a highly sought-after player on a free transfer. Tuttosport reports that the Rossoneri are following with great interest two other free agents to strengthen their attack. The first name is that of Stephan El Shaarawy who has already represented the Red and Black colors.

El Shaarawy will not be renewing his contract with Roma and pushing for a return to Milan. The Rossoneri are looking to sell Ante Rebic this summer and need a new back-up for Rafael Leao. El Shaarawy is considered an improvement over Rebic. He is already familiar with the club and Serie A and can provide a big number of goals.

The second name on AC Milan’s lit of targets is that Marcus Thuram. The 25-year-old France international will leave Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfers. AC Milan made contact with Marcus Thuram in January when it seemed he was destined for a top clubs transfer but somehow interest has cooled off.

Just like for Kamada, AC Milan are in the race for Thuram together with Atletico Madrid and Dortmund. The son of French legend Lilian Thuram, Marcus is ending another positive season 16 goals and 7 assists in 31 appearances. His high salary demands are a problem for AC Milan’s budget but being available on a free transfer is hugley attractive.
