AC Milan about to complete first January sale
After signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer AC Milan are about to complete their first January sale.
The January transfer window opened a few days ago. So far AC Milan have signed only Zlatan Ibrahimovic who made his debut in the goalless draw against Sampdoria. The next transfer target of the Rossoneri is believed to be a defender.
Jean-Clair Todibo is the number one choice of the management with Barcelona and Milan already having agreed a transfer fee of €20 million but the parties don’t have an understanding regarding a buy-back clause that Barca and the player demand to have. In the meantime the Rossoneri are about to complete their first sale.
AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina has agreed personal terms with Premier League club Aston Villa reports MilanNews.it. The former Liverpool goalkeeper is about to return in England on a year and half contract with Aston Villa.
The 37-year-old Spanish shot-stopper initially agreed to remain at San Siro as Gigio Donnarumma’s back-up but now he prefers to close his career in England with a more central role expected for him at Aston Villa. Last season Reina was a regular in Europa League and Coppa Italia matches but this year, with Milan excluded from Europe, he has made only one appearance.
AC Milan will gain an insignificant fee from Pepe Reina’s sale but the Rossoneri would save almost €10 million from his contract. Money that the club intends to reinvest on the market quickly.
