AC Milan left-back Diego Laxalt is close to leaving the Rossoneri with Serie A club Parma set to be his next destination.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – After many signing, and with the Correa affair currently in stand-by, AC Milan have shifted their focus in reducing their ranks. One of the players that is expected to leave soon is Diego Laxalt.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that the 26-year-old Uruguay international is very close to reached a deal with Serie A club Parma and leave San Siro after just one year.
AC Milan and Parma had an important meeting yesterday at Casa Milan with Paolo Maldini hosting Parma sporting director Daniele Faggiano. The former Genoa is considered as the ideal player for coach D’Aversa’s 4-3-3 game system.
AC Milan and Parma have agreed a loan move with the obligation to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season for a reported fee of 10 million euros. Even though Diego Laxalt would prefer to stay at Milan and take his chances with coach Marco Giampaolo he’s closed by Theo Hernandez and Ricardo Rodriguez.
Parma now must agree personal terms with the player. AC Milan signed Diego Laxalt from Genoa for 17 million euros last year. He made 29 appearances with the Rossoneri but failed to live up to expectations.
