AC Milan open talks with Barcelona winger
AC Milan have entered in talks with Barcelona B captain Alex Collado. The 22-year-old will leave the Blaugrana in January.
From Spain, Mundo Deportivo reports that AC Milan are moving to secure the services of Barcelona right winger Alex Collado. The 22-year-old was supposed to join Sheffield United this summer but the English club did not submit the contract in time and the transfer collapsed on the last day of the summer mercato.
The failed move left Collado unregistered and out of the first team. While his old teammates Ansu Fati, Araujo, Nico, Mingueza and Gavi are getting first team opportunities, Collado is forced to train alone waiting for January to resolve his situation.
Mundo Deportivo reports that AC Milan are seriously interested in the Barcelona B captain and have had contacts with his agents lately. Sheffield remains interested in buying him but the Rossoneri are the ones who have pushed more in the last period according to the Spanish newspaper.
AC Milan are expected to bring a right winger or an attacking midfielder in January. The Rossoneri are looking at a number of names but the ideal candidate is someone who can occupy both roles.
Alex Collado fits the bill as he can also play in the trequartista role. In addition, the contract of the Barcelona player expires in 18 months so he will be available on a favorable fee.
