AC Milan continue their search for a new winger and now Mirabelli is shopping again in Spain at Villarreal. The two clubs are negotiating a players exchange.
In recent days rumors have emerged about a possible players exchange between AC Milan and Villarreal. An exchange that would have theoretically made everyone happy, both the clubs and the players in question.
The Rossoneri are interested in Samu Castillejo, 23 year old Spanish winger of Villarreal and author of an excellent season in La Liga. The idea of AC Milan was to get closer to Castillejo by including Carlos Bacca in the negotiation, the Colombian striker who played with the Yellow Submarine last season and who has always reiterated his desire to stay in Spain at any cost.
However the parties seems distant and that’s primarily due to the wide differences the clubs have on the value of each player. Villarreal estimate Castillejo as much as 39 million euros, which is the figure of his release clause. A price too high for AC Milan, at least for the moment.
Tuttosport reports that the Rossoneri can count on their good relationship with the agent of Castillejo, Manuel Garcia Quilon, with whom AC Milan closed the purchase of Pepe Reina. He will met Massimiliano Mirabelli when he returns to Italy from his mission in Russia to scout some players present at the World Cup. The Bacca-Castillejo exchange remains for now a summer taboo but not impossible to solve.
