AC Milan are still on the market for another purchase. Surprisingly the Rossoneri are negotiating a particular deal with Genoa for Diego Laxalt.
Sportitalia and Sky Sports both confirm that the Rossoneri are negotiating the purchase of Diego Laxalt from Genoa. The left lack (his primary role) that can play in all the positions on the left flank excelled with Uruguay in this summer’s World Cup in Russia and is an old transfer target of AC Milan.
The Rossoblu have yet to pay the 11 million euro of Gianluca Lapadula’s obligated purchase, after having put a year ago 2 million for his loan. This is how the Laxalt idea was born, estimated at around 15 million euros from Genoa. The parties are in contact to assess whether the former Inter can actually arrive at Milan in exchange for Lapadula and 3 million euros.
Could Laxalt’s potential arrival mean that one between Ricardo Rodriguez and Ivan Strinic is about to leave? Maybe, but the Uruguayan 25 year old, as mentioned above, can also play as left midfielder or left winger adding further depth to the Rossoneri squad without compromising the permanence of the two left back.
