AC Milan open talks with Napoli striker: the details
AC Milan have made contacts with Napoli centre forward Arkadiusz Milik who becomes a free agent next year.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – For several days, Arkadiusz Milik has been indicated as a transfer target of AC Milan for the summer market. The Polish center forward is one of the profiles being scouted by the Rossoneri considering his current club situation.
The contract of Milik with Napoli expires in one year and the parties have made no progress so far with the renewal seeming less likely by the day. The former centre forward of Bayer Leverkusen and Ajax will be one of the most in-demand striker when the market opens. However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis does not offer gifts.
Sportmediaset confirms the Rossoneri’s interest in the striker and reports that AC Milan have already contacted Arek Milik and his agents. At the moment, Milan have not opened talks with Napoli. The Neapolitan management and the agents of the Polish striker are set to make a final decision on the player’s future on 1 July.
Napoli rate Milik at around 35 million euros but Milan have no intention of offering cash for a player whose contract expires in one year. The Rossoneri are planning a swap deal and are ready to offer Franck Kessie in exchange for Milik. The Ivorian midfielder is a player coach Gennaro Gattuso would love to have to replace Allan in the summer.
This season Arkadiusz Milik has scored 12 goals in 22 appearances. Since his arrival in 2016 for €32 million the career of Milik at Napoli has often been hampered by injuries. Except for last season, the 26-year-old hasn’t made more than 20 league games per season.
