Brazilian attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta could leave AC Milan to join PSG after just one year at San Siro.
The year ended on the worst possible way for the Rossoneri loosing 5-0 against local neighbors Atalanta. Lucas Paqueta, together with Theo Hernandez, were suspended for the match but the Brazilian could have already made his last appearances with the Red and Blacks.
After signing 22-year-old attacking midfielder for a fee of €38.5 million last January, AC Milan are in negotiations to sell Paqueta to PSG. According to Tuttosport, the former Flamengo could change club again after just one year at the San Siro.
Leonardo, now sporting director of the PSG, is the one who brought him from Rio de Janeiro to AC Milan a year ago. Leo is a big fan of his compatriot and still believes that Paqueta has the potential to be a top player in the future. A move to Paris been very productive for Mauro Icardi and could possibly have positive effects on Paqueta too.
The Rossoneri number 39 so far has scored only one goal since joining AC Milan. Too little. In terms of assists, he has done a little better (3 assists), but someone of his talent must be able to contribute more. Coach Stefano Pioli preferred Giacomo Bonaventura against Sassuolo and when the league starts n 5 January it will be necessary to see if the hierarchy will remain unchanged.
In the meantime, negotiations with PSG are ongoing and AC Milan seem inclined to sell Lucas Paqueta for a fee of €35 million. That’s the price tag of the former Flamengo and Maldini will not take into consideration any offers below this figure. After loosing his place in the starting eleven, Paqueta is at real risk of loosing his spot in the AC Milan squad.
