Jens Petter Hauge

AC Milan have decided to sell Jens Peter Hauge for €15 million. The Norwegian winger doesn’t have Pioli’s backing.

AC Milan’s summer plan is to sell in order to buy, or rather, sell (possibly well) to build up a treasure that can be reinvested on the mercato. The Rossoneri have put Jens Peter Hauge on the market precisely for this reason.

Times are short for everyone and every club must do its best with what is available. In today’s football, the one sunk by the pandemic, the sale of a player not part of the coach’s plans can have the same importance as a major purchase. A matter of budget and wages.

AC Milan do not consider the young Jens Petter Hauge a redundancy to be sold on the highest bidder. The Norwegian winger is a talented player and he has shown it Europe and in Italy, albeit in flashes.

However, despite the appreciation of the club, if an interesting bid at around 15 million euros arrives, the management will give the green light to his sale. The 21-year-old has been put on the market and that’s a decision made by Stefano Pioli. Hauge scored 5 goals in 24 appearances with the Rossoneri but he was unable to earn Pioli’s trust.

The match against Sampdoria was an emblematic indicator that the Italian coach doesn’t have a high consideration for Hauge. The Norwegian winger entered the match in the last 16 minutes, he scored the Rossoneri only goal, and never played a single minute in the remaining 9 games. Before that he was excluded from the Europa League squad list in favor of Mandzukic who made only one appearances.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) reports that Hauge will have a meeting with the Milanese management as soon as he returns from his vacation to understand his future. His departure would guarantee the club a healthy profit of €10 million that will be reinvested for new signings.
