Di Marzio: AC Milan resume talks for Juventus star
AC Milan have resumed talks with Juventus over Merih Demiral. The young Turkish defender is free to leave for a fee of €35 million.
AC Milan have resumed talks with Juventus over a move for Merih Demiral. The two Serie A clubs have had contacts today and a meeting with Juventus could be held tomorrow.
According to Di Marzio, AC Milan are willing to make an investment of €35 million for Demiral. Juventus have slowed down the sale of Daniele Rugani to Roma. The Italian defender is protege of coach Sarri and Juve could decide to sacrifice the young Turkish talent instead.
Juventus signed Merih Demiral this summer €18 million from Sassuolo who are still owned a percentage of any future transfer. The Rossoneri see Demiral as a perfect replacement for the injured Mattia Caldara who will remain out at least until October.
Demiral joined Sassuolo on January 2019 after after spending time with Sporting Lisbon and Alanyaspor. Despite making just 14 Serie A appearances, the 21-year-old centre back made an immediate impact in Italy and caught the attention of Juventus. A meteoric rise in such a short time. However, Milan must not forget that dealing with Juventus hasn’t been profitable in recent years.
