AC Milan technical director Leonardo will exploit the international break to have a talk with Mino Raiola regarding the situation of some of his clients.
Relations between AC Milan and Mino Raiola seem to have improved drastically. After the sparks with the old ownership, in particular with former sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli, the infamous agent seems to be quiet with Leonardo and the current Milan management.
The Brazilian will soon meet Raiola to discuss the contractual situations his clients. Gianluigi Donnarumma is not going to be a topic of their conversation because he has a contract until 2021 instead the two will discuss on Giacomo Bonaventura and Ignazio Abate. The right back is very close to bidding farewell to the Rossoneri. In recent years his performances have been mediocre and harmful for team. Calciomercato.com reports that Abate should join his close friend Zlatan Ibrahimovic in MLS at the end of the season.
The main topic of their conversation will be Jack Bonaventura. His contribution to the team in recent years has been at high levels. A slight decline in the final months of last season but in the first two games of the new season he was decisive. He also scored a goal, and in general his performance was far above sufficiency. Gattuso relies a lot on him, so much that he asked the Chinese and later the American ownership not to sell the handyman midfielder despite the many offers. Jack, as we know, can play in several roles and his partnership with Hakan Calhanoglu keeps getting better each game.
Bonaventura’s contract with AC Milan will expire in 2020, and in the upcoming meeting with Raiola, Leonardo will offer an extension for at least two other seasons, that is until 2022. Even in economic terms there could be an improvement. Today Jack earns 2 million euros plus bonuses. It is not known how much he could earn after the renewal but it should be a salary in line with some of his colleagues.
