AC Milan sporting director Frederic Massara admits that the January shopping campaign could be closed with the arrivals of Ibrahimovic, Kjaer and Begovic.
AC Milan won their third match in a raw with an electric performance against Udinese. Thanks to a fantastic brace from super sub Ante Rebic and a screamer from Theo Hernandez, the Rossoneri find a certain enthusiasm that lacked around these parts.
Theo Hernandez has been AC Milan best players this season. The great performance of Ante Rebic is a great news for the Rossoneri especially considering the volatile form of both Bonaventura and Calhanoglu. Castielljo too seems reborn in Pioli’s 4-4-2 formation. Nevertheless, the fans expect new signings until the end of the January transfer window.
Shortly before Milan vs Udinese, sporting director Frederic Massara was interviewed by DAZN. However, his comments on the club’s plan on the transfer market, although understandable, are some disappointing.
On the unconditional support of the fans that had filled San Siro: “We feel the support of the fans and it is also obvious by the 60,000 supporters who are present today. It is a closeness that helps us, drives the team despite not being a positive season so far. We feel the heat and we are convinced that this can give a big boost to the players“.
Inevitable the questions on the transfer market. But beyond the latest rumors, Massara excludes new signings unless there are occasions: “At the moment further signings are not expected. Ibrahimovic, Kjaer and Begovic have arrived and at the moment there are no other situations to exploit. We will see if opportunities present themselves in the last few weeks and under the right conditions, in which case we will find ourselves ready”.
