With Correa currently on hold, AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini will be in Spain to discuss the transfer of Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Today’s edition of Tuttosport analyzes the transfer market situation of the Rossoneri, currently frozen due to the blocking of several potential transfer. Milan are trying to figure out how to sell some players and then reinvest in new signings.

But it’s easier said than done. A couple of Rossoneri players that are on the market have not received any satisfactory offers thus complicating the work of Maldini and Boban. In the meantime the Correa “soap opera” continues and will probably last at least until next week.

Paolo Maldini will be in Madrid shortly but on the agenda he has only one meeting with Real. The Argentine striker has repeatedly reiterated his desire to join AC Milan but the distance between the two clubs remains considerable. AC Milan offer €38 million plus 7 million in add-ons while Atletico Madrid insist for 55 million. The Rossoneri management hopes that the Colchoneros will give up sooner or later and lower their asking price.

Meanwhile, according to Tuttosport, Real Madrid have offered Mariano Diaz to AC Milan. The Spaniard could act as second striker alongside Piatek or even as his back-up. Real Madrid are open to any kind of transfer (loan with right or obligation) for the 26-year-old.

An interesting option that AC Milan are considering. Mariano Diaz excelled in his solo year in France scoring 21 goals and assisting 6 in 45 appearances with Lyon. His return to Real Madrid was lackluster with only 4 goals last season. Absolutely more complicated the other redundancies in the Merengue house, like James, Isco and the big dream of the Rossoneri fans, Luka Modric.
