AC Milan make several changes in attack for Cagliari match
Coach Stefano Pioli will make several changes for the upcoming AC Milan vs Cagliari match resting some players.
AC Milan face Cagliari on Wednesday at 18:30 CET, away from San Siro. The Rossoneri returned to victory against Verona thanks to a single goal from Rafael Leao but their performance in general was far from their best. Cagliari vs Milan is another must win match for Stefano Pioli’s squad who must try to keep the pace of Inter and also prepare for next week’s Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.
The Italian coach will make several changes for Cagliari vs Milan starting from the formation that will be the regular 4-3-3 rather than the experimental 3-4-3 of last match. Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori will form the central duo in defence with Theo Hernandez on the left and Alessandro Florenzi on the right.
The serous injury of Rade Krunic was confirmed today and the Bosnian will be out for one month. Pioli has not decided yet whether it will be Tommaso Pobega or Yacine Adli to take his spot but the Italian midfielder is currently in advantage to start from the first minute alongside Loftus-Cheek and Reijnders.
Olivier Giroud will finally be given a chance to rest in Cagliari vs Milan. Noah Okafor will be making his first minute debut with the Rossoneri with Luka Jovic not yet at his physical best. Another big name that should be rested is Rafael Leao. Both Chukwueze and Pulisic will start according to Sky Sport with the Nigerian on the right side.
CAGLIARI Probable XI (4-4-2): Radunovic, Zappa, Wieteska, Dossena, Obert, Nandez, Makoumbou, Sulemana, Augello, Petagna, Luvumbo.
AC MILAN Probable XI (4-3-3): Sportiello; Florenzi, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders, Pobega (Adli); Chukwueze, Okafor, Pulisic.
