AC Milan make official bid for Zaniolo: details
AC Milan are in talks to sign Italian winger Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma. The player has already said yes to the Rossoneri.
AC Milan are seriously interested in Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo. The Rossoneri have decided to try to bring the Italian right winger at San Siro in January. The player has clashed with his club and has asked to leave before the transfer window is over and the Giallorossi are more than open to negotiate his departure.
It is not a secret that Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini have been following Zaniolo for a long time. Discussions were held last summer but Roma’s asking price of €60 million was deemed too high. Now the situation has changed and the Rossoneri are making a revamped attempt.
AC Milan are offering to sign Nicolo Zaniolo on an initial loan with the obligation to make the transfer permanent for a fee of €22 million reports MilanNews.it. The transfer becomes permanent if AC Milan qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season.
Until now Roma have insisted that Zaniolo will leave only for an offer of €35 million. However, interested in the 23-year-old is not that high. Tottenham Hotspur have informed Roma that they are interested only on a loan move with the option to buy while Roma want to monetize as soon as possible.
A meeting has been set for tomorrow between AC Milan and Roma. Paolo Maldini will meet Roma director Tiago Pinto after the match against Lazio to understand if a move will be possible. The player has already accepted a move to AC Milan through his agents. Zanioli would prefer to continue his career in Serie A rather than in England.
