AC Milan make failed attempt for German star

AC Milan have made a surprise attempt to secure the services of PSG’s left winger Julian Draxler. The French have rejected their bid.

Michele Criscitiello, journalist of Sportitalia has revealed that the Rossoneri club are thinking about Julian Draxler to reinforce the squad. The AC Milan leadership has stepped forward for the German talent but without success so far.

The Red and Black made an inquiry but there would be no conditions to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star. Leonardo had started contacts, there seemed to be an initial opening, however, in the evening PSG closed the door to an eventual sale. Obviously it is not excluded that the Rossoneri technical director can try again in the coming days but it will be tough to snatch Draxler from Paris.

Coach Gattuso appreciates a lot the former Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg. He is a ductile player, knows how to play both as a midfielder and as left winger. Draxler is 24 years old, so he is young and still with a lot of room for improvement. At PSG he seems a bit closed by the competition but that it’s not enough to complete a transfer. Probably the French giants are asking for a lot of money and will not accept a loan deal. No specific details regarding the Rossoneri’s proposal have emerged yet.
