AC Milan make approach for Chelsea striker
AC Milan are working again to sign highly-rated Chelsea striker Armando Broja who has been on their radar for a long time.
AC Milan will try to sign anther centre forward until the end of the summer transfer window. Young talent Lorenzo Colombo will leave to play regularly elsewhere with Genoa and Cagliari locked in a tough battle for his services. At the same time, the Rossoneri working to sell Divock Origi who is no longer part of the project despite arriving one year ago.
The management of the Italian club has two primary names to strengthen the attack: Hugo Ekitike and Armando Broja. Evening Standard reports that AC Milan have already made an approach to sign Armand Broja from Chelsea. The interest of Milan in the Albania international is quite strong according to the English newspaper.
AC Milan would like to bring Armando Broja at San Siro on loan with the option to make the transfer permanent for a fee of over €20 million. However, Chelsea are reluctant to part ways with Broja, one of the brightest talents of their youth academy. The 21-year-old was supposed to leave on loan but Nkunku’s injury has change the Blues plans for Broja. At least for now.
The young striker is assessing his options and he would open to join the Red and Blacks. Broja is on the verge of making his comeback after recovering from a long-term knee injury sustained last December. The 21-year-old has been on AC Milan’s radar for a long time with Maldini trying on several instances to secure his services.
Armando Broja excelled during two consecutive loan spells. First in Netherlands with Vitessse and later in the Premier League with Southampton. However, Broja’s highly anticipated return at Chelsea was an unfortunate one with a serious knee injury preventing his progress at the English giants. The rumored purchase of a new striker from Chelsea would increase a lot AC Milan chances of landing Broja.
