AC Milan could be set for a major overhaul this summer with several midfielders to be replaced by new signings.
Waiting to understand what game system will Milan utilize next season or who will be Gennaro Gattuso’s eventual substitute, at the Rossoneri there is only one thing certain: the AC Milan midfield will undergo a real revolution. In the coming weeks, the situation will be more clear, starting with the fate of Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is on loan with the right to buy from Chelsea.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the future of the French defensive midfielder is closely linked to that of Lucas Biglia. In order to sign the former Chelsea AC Milan mut pay 35 million euros at the end of the season. A hefty fee that could be balanced by the possible renunciation of Argentine midfielder. Biglia has only one year remaining from his contract of 3.5 million euros per season.
The former Lazio is a wanted man on the market and this summer Milan will decide to capitalize. His agent admitted that Lucas Biglia has received two offers in recent days, one from Boca Juniors and one from a French club. A new adventure in China must not be excluded too.
AC Milan have yet to decide the future of Franck Kessie, whose stay at Milanello after the fight in the derby with Biglia is not at all sure. Among other things, the Ivorian could be one of the few players to guarantee a good capital gain. On the other hand, three midfielders Montolivo, Mauri and Bertolacci have contracts set to expire on 30 June. Contracts that will not be renewed.
Regarding new arrivals, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan will complete the purchase of Stefano Sensi. Apparently the Sassuolo young star is Milan’s top target for the midfield this summer. Another player that Leonardo desperately wants to bring at San Siro is Adrien Rabiot. The PSG star becomes a free agent this summer. The other target is Diawara of Napoli.
