AC Milan looking to sign 2 free agents from France
AC Milan is paying special attention to Ligue 1. Besides Simakan, there are other players that the Rossoneri would like to sign.
AC Milan are very attentive on the French transfer market. The Rossoneri scouts have been following a number of players for the past year and some may join the Serie A leaders soon. At the top of the list is obviously Simakan, who will very likely be the defender to strengthen Stefano Pioli’s squad in January.
However, the 20-yeard-old Strasbourg centre back is not the only Ligue 1 player targeted by the Rossoneri. The economic crisis, caused by the coronavirus, is pushing clubs to look around for the opportunities and even free transfers.
AC Milan are keeping a close eye on the situation of Florian Thauvin. The French winger of Marseille has returned to great levels and will become a free agent on 30 June. Renewal with the French club is excluded.
He will certainly leave Marseille in June and AC Milan, as confirmed by Paolo Maldini, will try to bring him at San Siro. The player will be free to sign a contract with any club stating from February 1st. The Rossoneri have offered him a five-year deal of around 3 million euros per season with Sevilla also interested in his services.
Another player, with his contract expiring on June 30th, is Memphis Depay. The Dutch winger of Lyon has been on the Rossoneri’s radar for a long time but his signing is certainly more complicated than Thauvin. On Depay, in fact, there is strong competition from Barcelona with coach Koeman eager to bring him in Spain.
