AC Milan vs Lazio, probable lineups

AC Milan vs Lazio

AC Milan vs Lazio

AC Milan with host Lazio tonight at San Siro in what is expected to be probably the most important match of the season for both teams.

Without a doubt AC Milan-Lazio is going to be the most important match of the season for the Rossoneri. A win would help Milan cement their fourth place in the standings while another negative result would make Champions League qualification a mirage. Tonight at 20:30 at San Siro more than 60,000 Rossoneri fans will be in support of their team.

Milan performed very good against Juventus and for this reason coach Gennaro Gattuso doesn’t plan to make any changes. The same starting eleven that faced Juventus will be seen even with Lazio. In the press conference Rino confirmed that Gigio Donnarumma will be absent for Milan-Lazio but he returns for the upcoming match with Parma.

Veteran goalkeeper Pepe Reina takes Donnarumma’s place between the posts. Captain Alessio Romagnoli and Mateo Musacchio will form the central duo in defence while Ricardo Rodriguez and Davide Calabria complete the department. Despite Musacchio’s recent underwhelming performances, once again Caldara will sit on the bench.

Nothing changes even in midfield with Bakayoko at the center and Kessie with Calhanoglu on the sides. It seems like the Turkish player will continue to play in midfield for the remaining of the season.

There is only one doubt in attack with Borini and Castillejo fighting for a starting jersey. However, considering the good match with Juventus, Borini is favorite and will likely start from the first minute as left winger. The Italian, together with Suso on the right, will support the unstoppable Piatek.

AC MILAN (4-3-3): Reina, Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez, Bakayoko, Kessie, Calhanoglu, Borini, Suso, Piatek.

LAZIO (3-5-2): Strakosha, Luiz Felipe, Acerbi, Bsatos, Romulo, Milinkovic, Leiva, Luis Alberto, Lulic, Correa, Immobile.
