AC Milan transfer target Kristoffer Ajer confirms he will not renew his contract with Celtic and will leave in the summer.
Last summer and in the January transfer window, Celtic found itself forced to repel the assaults of several top clubs, including AC Milan and Tottenham, for the 21-year-old central defender Kristoffer Ajer.
Revamped attempts are expected in June, but this time the Celtic may have no other choice but to comply with the requests of the player. Ajer wants to make a qualitative leap in his career and play in one of the Europe’s top leagues.
Kristoffer Ajer’s agent Tore Pedersen confirmed that the Norwegian wonderkid will leave Celtic in the summer.
“He will not renew his contract with Celtic and in the summer he will be sold. I don’t want to mention names but we there are many clubs interested in Ajer, some of which have been following him for some time“, said Pedersen in an interview with Scandinavian broadcaster ‘NTB‘.
AC Milan are one of the most interested clubs in Ajer. The Rossoneri have been following him for the past year and view Kristoffer as Musacchio’s replacement. The talented centre back is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and despite his year age he has over 200 appearances to his name,
