The mercato never stops in Casa Milan. Currently Massimiliano Mirabelli is considering the signing of Santos highly promising left back Zeca.
It never stops the scouting work incremented and strongly wanted from Massimiliano Mirabelli. On the rossoneri’s radar another young promising talent has landed.
Jose Carlos Cracco Neto, best known for his nickname Zeca, is really liked by Milan. He is a 23 year old defender playing for Santos, with whom he has a contract until June 2020. What’s particular about Zeca is that despite being right footed, he plays as left back. He shined in 2016 Olympics when he won the Olympic golden medal with Brazil. With his club he has already collected more than 80 official appearances. According to Fichajes.com, Milan, as well as Liverpool, have put their eyes on the player. Last season he nearly said goodbye to Santos, with Atletico Madrid who tried to sign him but in the end they did not succeed.
It can not be ruled out there may be another attempt from the two above mentioned clubs in January. The rossoneri could accelerate and anticipate the competition, giving the player the possibility to adapt more quietly in Italian football. In Brazil Zeca is considered as the heir of Roberto Carlos. We will see if the rossoneri’s sports director will hurry to close a deal quickly trying to find a satisfying economic agreement for both sides.
Clearly it would a purchase for the future, as currently Milan remain well covered on the flanks. Andrea Conti is expected to remain out for six months while the fragility of Luca Antonelli is concerning. He too is currently injured but not so much that to force the club to intervene heavily on the market. For now Ricardo Rodriguez is giving important guarantees, with the rossoneri that after many years have finally managed to find a reliable left back. Interest in Zeca is, however, not to be underestimated, though it does not seem to be a priority for the moment.
