AC Milan target two strikers to replace Ibra

AC Milan are looking at two young strikers to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Gianluca Scamacca and Jonathan David.

In the summer transfer window, AC Milan will have to intervene in all departments, there is no doubt. In attack there will be the probable departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and replacing such a player is not easy.

Not being able to buy high-cost champions, the Rossoneri will focus mainly on young talents who could soon reach their full potential. In recent months, AC Milan scouts have followed many players and some will join the Rososneri soon. It’s expected to be a busy summer with many signings and sales.

According to Tuttosport, for the attack AC Milan are evaluating Gianluca Scamacca and Jonathan David. Scamacca is 21 years old and plays in Serie B with Ascoli, on loan from Sassuolo. Jonathan David instead is 20 years old and plays in Belgium with Gent.

The young Italian striker has been on AC Milan’s radar for a while. His good season in Serie B has not gone unnoticed by the Rossoneri scouts. Scamacca has scored 11 goals in 25 appearances. The former Roma youngster s finally reaching his potential after being considered for years a prodigy of Italian football. Benfica, Southampton and Napoli are interested in his services.

After a fine debut season in Belgium, Jonathan David has been an absolute protagonist with Gent this year. David has scored 23 goals in the 40 appearances and has provided 10 assists. The 20-year-old Canadian international is among the revelations of Belgian football recently.

Jonathan David had already stood out in the past year with 14 goals but this season he has cementer his status as one of brightest talents in Europe. AC Milan are very attentive on his situation but other clubs like Inter, Lazio, Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have also expressed interest in his services. Gent value Jonathan David at €25 million.
