AC Milan inch closer to Jeremie Boga signing with Sassuolo more interested in doing business with the Rossoneri rather than Napoli.
The name of Jeremie Boga has returned powerfully in the orbit of AC Milan. The 23-year-old flamboyant winger of Sassuolo has been a revelation this season in Serie A. His great performances have attracted the attention of the Rossoneri who care challenging Napoli for the services of the talented left winger.
Jeremie Boga has scored eight goals and assisted four in 27 appearances so far. Sassuolo are willing to sell him and value Boga at around 20 million euros. Certainly not a very high price tag but the Coronavirus emergency has led to the collapse of player prices in general and especially small club can no longer command high fees for their best players.
An advantageous situation to be exploited also thanks to an assist from Chelsea. In fact, the English club have a buy-back option on their former player but have decided not to exercise the right of first refusal for 16 million euros.
In recent days, thanks to a reported backing from potential next AC Milan coach Ralf Rangnick, AC Milan seem to have overcome the competition of Napoli for Boga’s services. The price tag is affordable for the Rossoneri but the transfer fee could even be zeroed thanks to Sassuolo’s interest in two AC Milan players.
Sassuolo could soon lose Manuel Locatelli, who is in the sights of many big clubs, and are already on the move for his replacement. Sassuolo have targeted AC Milan midfielders Brescianini and Pobega. Marco Brescianini is the captain of Milan Primavera while Tommaso Pobega has established himself as one of the best talents in Serie B. In order to sign Jeremie Boga AC Milan may be forced to sacrifice one of their best talents.
