Real Madrid centre back Sergio Ramos is on AC Milan’s list of transfer targets to strengthen the defence, claims Spanish media.
Sergio Ramos is among the many players to become a free agent at the end of the season. The 34-year-old Spanish defender has not found an agreement with Real Madrid and his farewell from Bernabeu at the end of the season cannot be excluded.
Top Europeans clubs are paying special attention to his situation, ready to seize the big opportunity. In recent weeks, the World Cup winner was linked with a move to PSG and Juventus but AC Milan are in the run too.
According to Fichajes.net, Sergio Ramos is one the players on Maldini’s list of transfer targets. The other names are Nikola Milenkovic, Matteo Lovato, Thiago Silva (likely to renew with Chelsea in the next days), Ozan Kabak, Melayro Bogarde and Nordi Mukiele.
Obviously qualification in Champions League would be required in order to make an attempt to sign a player of his caliber. AC Milan are looking for a centre back who can be play regularly alongside Kjaer and Romagnoli.
At the moment he remains just a suggestion, almost impossible, given his high salary in double figures but Milan can play the Paolo Maldini card compared to the competition. It is no secret, in fact, Ramos’ admiration for the former Rossoneri defender who is his idol.
