AC Milan right back Andrea Conti has just suffered another injury during today’s training session. The Rossoneri released an official statement on his conditions.
The Rossoneri are close to Andrea Conti and have reiterated their support for the young right back. Fortunately it was not a serious injury and the talented Italian defender is expected to be back on the pitch after 30-40 days.
Close to Andrea. Every step for his comeback was made with the utmost caution and without forcing, pursuing his health, as Rino Gattuso has repeatedly mentioned. There is always the danger of unforeseen events when returning to agonistic activity after a surgery like that of last September. Andrea is fantastic, well-liked by everyone in Milanello and will recover at best. Once the fall back was dispelled, all the work will be aimed at bringing back Conti on the pitch, in compliance with recovery time and systematic review of the sprain
A medical update by the club on the right back’s physical condition.
“AC Milan inform that during today’s training session, Andrea Conti has suffered a sprained knee injury, the same knee he underwent surgery on 16th September. The diagnostic exams and checks carried out by Professor Herbert Schoenhuber excluded a rupture of the reconstructed anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) but they have shown a severe sprain to the lateral knee compartment, which will be further evaluated in the coming days”
