AC Milan continue to hold a special interest on young and talented Italian players and now have entered negotiations with Atalanta for young midfielder Melegoni.
Filippo Melegoni is a target of AC Milan for its youth sector and the club had a meeting with Atalanta for the 18 year old native midfielder of Bergamo. The price tag of the starlet is already very expensive, but since interest from the Rossoneri is concrete, the demands could be lowered by offering some players in exchange.
Filippo Melegoni is one of the most interesting elements of Atalanta Primavera and Italy U19. Gian Piero Gasperini made him debut in Serie A last season, against Sampdoria. This season, however, he has not collected any presence in the first team. With Primavera instead he has played 13 games, scoring 2 goals and also collecting an assist.
He is a complete and modern defensive midfielder but good at interpreting all the other roles in midfield. Melegoni is a promising youngster monitored by several big Serie A teams, with Inter and Juventus who have also asked for information. However – according to the Corriere di Bergamo – AC Milan would be the club closest to signing the player. The club of Via Aldo Rossi has already started negotiations but want to close a transfer for next June.
