Massimiliano Mirabelli is vigilant on several players whose contract expire in June 2018. After Strinic and Reina, AC Milan’s sports director, is about to close a deal for Swansea midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng.

Ki is having a good season so far with 2 goals and 3 assists in 24 appearances. He is a ductile player who can cover a lot of roles in midfield, perfect for the 4-3-3 game system of the Rossoneri. Tuttosport reports that Mirabelli is in advanced negotiation with the Korean star and is expected to close a deal by the end of the month. Ki Sung-Yueng would be the third signing of AC Milan on a free transfer after Ivan Strinic and Pepe Reina.

The purchase of the 29 year old can allow the club to obtain advantages also on commercial level. Signing an Asian player can have a positive impact on the East markets where AC Milan wants to penetrate with its own brand and improve revenues. Despite his economic appeal Ki Sung-Yueng would be also an added value for the squad with his 9 years of experience playing in the British island.
