AC Milan have reserved Franck Kessie a similar response to the Donnarumma case. The Rossoneri have already booked his replacement.
AC Milan’s mercato revolves a lot around Franck Kessie’s decision. The contract of the Ivorian midfielder is set to expire in June 2022 and the renewal agreement looks quite unlikely. Time is running out, doubts are growing and the future of the Rossoneri number 79 will likely be elsewhere.
In fact, without the contract extension, Kessie is destined to follow in the footsteps of the various Calhanoglu and Donnarumma who left on free transfers last summer to join Inter and Paris Saint Germain respectively. Meanwhile, AC Milan have wasted little time and have already identified his replacement.
AC Milan continue to monitor France with great interest. The Ligue 1 has been a place where the Rossoneri fished Mike Maignan, Fode Ballo-Toure, Yacine Adli and Pietro Pellegri this summer. A similar solution to the Donnarumma saga, with Maignan booked much in advance, has been reserved to Franck Kessie.
Journalist Rudy Galetti reports that AC Milan have already blocked Boubacar Kamara. The Marseille midfielder could join the Rossoneri at the end of the season as a free agent. Just like in Donnarumma’s case, Milan will not wait a lot for Kessie’s final decision and have reportedly a verbal agreement with Kamara.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder has plated over 135 matches for Marseille despite his young age. A young and versatile player with vast experience that’s perfectly in line with Elliott Management’s transfer indications.
