AC Milan have 4-names list for January
AC Milan are considering a number of names that may join in January. Maldini wants to sign a player for each role reports Repubblica.
The January transfer window opens in a few days and AC Milan are expected to be active just like they did during the summer. The management would like to make three signings, one for each department but everything will depend on the final budget set by Elliott.
According to La Repubblica, AC Milan are following four players with great interest. The primary goal of Paolo Maldini and Massara is to bring in a suitable replacement for Simon Kjaer. Sven Botman is Maldini’s top pick but Lille’s asking price of 30 million euros leaves little room for negotiations.
The situation is cloudy in midfield. It’s not yet clear if AFCON will be played or if Pioli will have Bennacer and Kessie under his orders for January and February. In addition, Bakayoko is having an awful season with many underwhelming performances so far. Renato Sanches is AC Milan’s main target to replace Kessie who should leave at the end of the season. The Portuguese is also an alternative for January if Bennacer and Kessie end up playing in the African Cup.
AC Milan’s recent form and injuries have highlighted the Rossoneri’s need for reinforcements in attack. In the summer AC Milan did not bring another attacking midfielder leaving Pioli with only Brahim Diaz in that position. Romain Faivre was close to joining Stefano Pioli’s side last summer and remains a valid option for January. His price tag is 15 million euros.
Ibrahimovic, Giroud and Pellegri have rarely been available all three together. Often Pioli was forced to adapt Leao or Rebic in the centre forward role. Beto Betuncal is doing really well in his first season in Serie A with Udinese. The 23-year-old Portuguese striker has a market value of around 15 million euros.
