AC Milan have completed the transfer of Gustavo Gomez to Palmeiras. The Brazilian club has signed the defender on a permanent deal after one season on loan.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Now that AC Milan’s management staff has been completed with Paolo Maldini as technical director and Zvonimir Boban as football chief officer (a sporting director is till missing), the club is fully concentrated on the transfer market.
A few days ago Empoli announced the transfer of Rade Krunic to AC Milan. The Rossoneri signed the central midfielder for 8 million euros plus bonuses. The Bosnia international will undergo medical test this week and sign a 4-year contract. Now, AC Milan have made their first summer sale.
The Rossoneri have sold Gustavo Gomez to Palmeiras. The 26-year-old centre back joined the Brazilian club on loan and after some great performances Palmeiras have decided to sign Gustavo Gomez on a permanent basis for a total fee of €7 million, his agent announced.
AC Milan purchased the Paraguayan defender in the summer of 2016 for €8,5 million from Argentine club Lanus. During his two years in Italy Gomez failed to establish himself as a regular star and made just 20 appearances with the Red and Black jersey.
Gustavo Gomez was one of the last purchases of Adriano Galliani. Mirabelli tried to sell him without success while Leonardo shipped him to Brazil as soon as he took control of Milan.
