With just a few matches until the end of the season AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has yet to renew his expiring contract.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan still hope that at the end Gianluigi Donnarumma will sign a new contract on their own terms. The Rossoneri have offered him 8 million euros per season (including bonuses) for a contract duration of more than three years.
The quality and the talent of the Italian goalkeeper are undisputed but AC Milan have no intention to match his demands of 10 million per season. Meanwhile, Mino Raiola has received a 12 million offer from an unnamed club many assume to be PSG. Signing Donnarumma on a free transfer would be a great deal for ever club.
On the other hand, AC Milan have given an ultimatum to the player and his agent. The Rossoneri want an answer within one month. This is AC Milan’s final offer and the management will not present any improved deals in the future.
A key factor in Donnarumma’s decision will be AC Milan’s participation or not in the Champions League for next season. Until recently, a place in the top four seemed practically sure but the latest negative results have put everything at risk. Nevertheless, AC Milan have started to look around for a replacement for Donnarumma.
Maldini has three players in his shortlist in case of Gigio’s departure. Argentine goalkeeper of Udinese, Juan Musso, has many admirers in Serie A including Milan. Atalanta’s Pierluigi Gollini is the second Serie A player on the last but the number one targets is considered Lille star Mike Maignan.
